Should the NFL Keep Experimenting With New Rules?

In my opinion, football is the best sport in the world, and also my favorite. Each Sunday, nothing is guaranteed except for pure fun. I wake up, watch football and go to sleep every Sunday during September-February. Yes, even when the Falcons are struggling, I still religiously watch them.

So, that brings me to the topic-Should the NFL Keep Experimenting With New Rules?

I think that they should not, only if it is for certain that it would help the game. But, let’s be honest here, can the NFL get any better than it already is? Probably not.

Here are some of the things the NFL is experimenting with over the pas few seasons:

NFL might experiment with making extra-point attempts longer

NFL to experiment with narrower field goal posts in Pro Bowl

NFL rule change: Extra point moved back, defenses can score

I am not on board with making PAT’s longer. I mean, it is called “extra point attempt” for a reason, right?

The NFL did get it right with the new concussion protocol, I will admit.

I just don’t want the great sport that is the NFL to mess up something great. If they keep adding new rules, then eventually it will change the sport in a negative way.

The only rule they need to add is the: “Let the Falcons win every game and the Super Bowl in the 2015 Season”. Because let’s be real, it is time for the Atlanta Falcons to win a championship.
